This image was so pretty I just had to use it for my assignment. I used Paint again for image adjustment and writing implementation. It was fun to search pictures of the country that I know and grew up in, and I was very surprised upon finding this image because I never thought that Korea can display such beautiful colors. Most of the time, Korea has a color trend of red, blue, and green. These colors come from palaces, where artists used bold bright colors to illustrate traditional beauty. That is why I was surprised yet awestruck upon seeing such novelty colors in this image and immediately decided to turn it into a postcard. You can tell that the design’s focus has shifted from palace to nature in terms of color palate, where pink is not much of a novelty as much of the Cherry Blossom trees come from Jeju Island.
