I enjoyed reading Austin Kleon’s posts about lessons from his book, “Show Your Work.” I agree with the author that life is not about opportunities knocking at your door passively, but rather, you knocking on the doors of opportunities actively.

Out of the 10 points he has mentioned, the last message, “Stick Around” resonated with me the most because I think we all should do what we love to do just for its own sake, and not for the fame. The most influential people in the world are discovered fortuitously for their work and people realize later on that nothing happens overnight and that everything is built upon each other.

For our class, we can also apply the same principle towards how we will progress throughout the semester. Just like the idiom, “Well begun is half done,” I think I have already progressed further from the state I was in yesterday.
